Nomos Table

This 'Nomos' table was designed by Sir Norman Foster for Renault between 1980 and 1982. In 1986 Tecno got the license from the Foster offices and produced these tables and later won the coveted Compasso d'Oro in 1987.

This is a serious statement piece of furniture and a rare design classic. Very few of these original and beautiful pieces of art/furniture come to the open market.

The frame of the Nomos table is conceived as a rigid, zoomorphic skeleton. The table can be adapted to satisfy wide range of needs whether at home or in a commercial setting.

This is a design which changed our way of thinking about the object that is the table forever. Nomos is the pioneer of all shared structure systems and a recognised icon of industrial design.

The Nomos Table differs from the other components of the Nomos System for the size of its tubular frame (1" instead of 1 1/4"), for the angled shape of its base and for the dedicated castings that support the top instead of the basic substructures of the System. The top rests on suckers in the glass version and is screwed to the aluminium supports in wood top versions. The Nomos table can be assembled in two heights, 28 1/3" or 25 2/3", simply by including or excluding spacers between the top and the supports.

This is the more sought after version of 220cm Width by 100cm Depth Currently set at 71cm Height.

This stunning table is available for UK delivery , due to the weight of the table carriage charges are £275 as it requires specialist delivery.
