Sought after turned walnut front legs with number stamps on base of each chair and beautiful ceramic Cope & Collinson ceramic castors. Cope & Collinson only worked with superior furniture makers such as Howard & Sons. The style of set back arm rests and styling of the chairs are exceptional and typical of Howard & Sons. Rare to find a matching pair. Exceptional quality and very likely to emanate from one of the major retailers such as Howard & Sons, Shoolbred Co,Hamptons or Cowtan and Son. Exceptionally comfortable with sprung base and wide seat area. The pair have a definite Howard & Sons look to the style/shape and would grace any country house setting. The chairs are stamped with numbers as per photos, again indicating very high quality and likely connection to Howard & Sons.
