A very early Parisian travelling trunk as featured in the Musee de Bretagne by renowned Paris retailers Maille Lavolaille 3 rue Croix des Petits Champs Paris. Dating from 1845 this rare trunk has the same detailing as Louis Vuitton who copied this original Paris makers style. The trunk also has added history with the name plaque of the original owner and inscribed Huddersfield below the owners name. Exceptionally rare and of historical interest. The trunk is well worn for its age but would make. A great focal talking point if displayed as a coffee table or bedside table.
As a genuine antique/vintage item there is wear and use commensurate with age. Some wooden products may have signs of historic woodworm. As a precaution we apply a clear triple action woodworm treatment that also kills wet rot, dry rot and woodworm. Please look at all the images carefully and ask any questions pre purchase as we do not unfortunately offer refunds due to the size and shipping costs of our antiques/items. All our items are available on line at Search & Rescued and other online stores.
