Exceptional detailing and book matched flame mahogany, sweeping legs with carved feet motif. Elegant carved swan neck mounts to mirror plate with lower cylindrical carving. Central draw with three compartment division, original brass lock escutcheon and original white marble top. This piece exudes quality craftsmanship in an understated fashion. Maples was founded by John Maple (28 Feb 1815 - 4 Mar 1900) in the early 19th century. It was later run by John Blundell Maple, 1st Baronet. Maple became one of the prime makers and suppliers of furniture to the aristocracy and royalty in the United Kingdom confirming this beautiful piece of furnitures calibre.
