Exceptional Antique French Empire Commode Chest Drawers Circa 1890


An absolutely stunning antique French Empire Commode Chest. Dating from circa 1890 this is a serious statement piece of furniture. Hand carved curved Noisette Fleury marble which is a historic Italian marble extracted from quarries located in Tuscany. It is a very precious marble used for high-level projects. The slabs of Noisette Fleury are characterized by the background color that varies from taupe gray to rust, crossed by some gray-white or orange veins. Exquisite detail to ormolu swag handle escutcheons, dove tailed joints, carved feet and deep mellow patina to the overall look of this wonderful chest. Will suit a multitude of settings. Bathroom, bedroom, living room, kitchen of commercial setting this piece would not look out of place.
