An absolutely beautiful George II Georgian chinoiserie lacquered cupboard. Exceptional survivor circa 1760. All original with fabulous hand painted exterior. We love this gorgeous statement piece of early Georgian furniture.
Attractive red and black lacquered detailing with gilded chinoiserie decoration. The cabinet is in very good order for its age with its original crackle glazed lacquered finish with shelved interior. The cabinet has a working lock/key (stiff) and original door bolts as well as its original decorative butterfly show hinges and timber backboards. A rare survivor.
85cm height x 54cm x full depth 27cm x door width 41cm.
