Superior quality with 15 individual drawers with central brass mount insert detailing to drawers. Hand cut dove tailed cock beaded drawers with cedar liners. Turned double bun handles to drawer fronts. Thick grained Cuban mahogany slab top and sides. Superb quality made to order for The Hope Collection at the bequest of the Reverend Frederick W. Hope. Unique in every aspect, a rare design and sought after size dating from circa 1860. This statement chest/cabinet screams quality and will inject style into any setting. A beautiful piece of period antique furniture to be admired but to be used and appreciated. Practical drawer sizing perfect for manuscripts/maps/larger filing purposes.
