Antique English Regency Mahogany Cane Library Elbow Chair Circa 1820

£2,250.00

An exceptional example of the highly sought after English Regency library elbow chair. This is an absolutely beautiful early version in incredible order for its age. Deep patina from years of use, original worn reeded arms where centuries of hands have rubbed away. Beautiful original inset brass castors, splayed rear legs, overall a very fine chair circa 1820. Cane in fair order for age with no holes or breaks.

Originally the chair would have had a cushion base over the seat area, we can supply at extra cost a tailor made feather down cushion in a choice of fabric if required through our in house upholstery service.

As a genuine antique/vintage item there is wear and use commensurate with age. Some wooden products may have signs of historic woodworm. As a precaution we apply a clear triple action woodworm treatment that also kills wet rot, dry rot and woodworm. Please look at all the images carefully and ask any questions pre purchase as we do not unfortunately offer refunds due to the size and shipping costs of our antiques/items.  All our items are available on line at Search & Rescued and other online stores.
