Antique Early Georgian Elm Stick Back Provincial Windsor Fireside Chair Circa 1760

£985.00

A beautiful antique elm Windsor comb back/ stick back chair circa 1760. Rare example with traces of original red and black paint fabulous patina. Historic repairs which add to the simplicity and provincial nature of this fabulous iconic chair. 97cm height x 60cm width x 45cm depth.

As a genuine antique / vintage item there is wear and use commensurate with age. Historic primitive repairs to hoop back and rear bridge. Joints loose in places. None of these detract from look or use of the piece and are very common in pieces of furniture of this historical  age. Some wooden products may have signs of historic woodworm. As a precaution we apply a clear triple action woodworm treatment that also kills wet rot, dry rot and woodworm. Please look at all the images carefully and ask any questions pre purchase as we do not unfortunately offer refunds due to the size and shipping costs of our antiques/items.  All our items are available on line at Search & Rescued and other online stores.
