A fabulous antique walnut Country House button back chesterfield sofa. Near perfect condition for age. Beautiful upholstery with braided detailing. Serpentine front design with splayed walnut back legs. Very comfortable with sprung base. Turned walnut feet with Cope & Collinson ceramic castors synonymous of Howard & Sons, adding style to this country house gem. Rare iron frame two seat version which are hugely sought after and very hard to find. We love this statement piece of furniture circa 1860. Superior quality likely to emanate from one of the major retailers such as Howard & Sons, Shoolbred & Co, Hamptons, Holland & Sons or Cowtan & Son.
