Merrow Associates started producing high quality design furniture in the mid 1950's, they used the best cuts rosewood and very high quality chroming on their steel framework putting this together with skilled craftsmanship and producing numerous designs classics. Their highly sought after pieces retailed through Harrods, Heals, Oscar Wollens among others in the UK and other high-end showrooms in the USA, Germany, France and Benelux countries.
Merrow Associates was established in the early 60’s by Richard Young who studied at the Royal Art Academy in Copenhagen where he picked up simple Danish designs, that shines through in his furniture designs with a passion for Danish design, mixing luxurious materials, fine finishes and a love of inspirational engineering.
Their unique designs were showcased throughout the residential market, corporate offices and celebrity houses. A highlight included designing Ronnie Corbett’s famous story telling chair.
