An absolutely beautiful Country House solid walnut and leather coil sprung armchair in the style of renowned cabinet/furniture makers Howard & Sons. This statement chair screams quality. Beautiful shape/form, scroll back, recessed plump seat area. Leather pocket studded arms, pocket button sprung seat and back rest with fabulous detailing and brass studded leather. Original soft supple worn dark brown leather with deep worn mellow patina. Original horsehair stuffing/filling, turned walnut feet on a reeded walnut frame with Cope & Collinson inset brass ring and ceramic castors. Circa 1850 this chair has the look and is a complete one of a kind. Inject style into any setting with this timeless design.

As a genuine antique there is wear and use commensurate with age. Marks and wear to leather to be expected for age, back rest has gone darker to top giving the chair an aged/worn look which adds to the appearance. Condition not bad at all and adds to the charm of this well loved chair. Some wooden products may have signs of historic woodworm. As a precaution we apply a clear triple action woodworm treatment that also kills wet rot, dry rot and woodworm.
