An absolutely gorgeous antique English Country House fruitwood and elm Georgian elbow arm chair. Original decorative painted motifs. Brass studded star studs to top of frame. The perfect Country House chair. Fabulous form with good age and patina. Early example from circa 1780. The turned arms and splayed arm rests are beautiful. A cross over from George ll to Sheraton period. Simply beautiful with a look that cannot be replicated. Waxed and ready to be used for another 100 years plus, will inject style into any setting. The perfect bedroom, bathroom or accent chair. As a genuine antique/vintage item there is wear and use commensurate with age. Frame in excellent order for age, newly upholstered fabric piped seat cushion in heavy Irish cotton.
