Very impressive and highly decorative antique Midcentury  lItalian glazed terracotta majolica Crocodile. Exceptional quality and detail.

Rare item that dates from the 1960’s. Excellent detailing to paws, face , tail and overall look of the piece. The glaze is of high quality and has an overall light crazing effect that is beautiful and tactile. We love this Fabulous decorative statement piece.

Modelled at the Ronzan factory in Turin Italy circa 1950s 1960s era. Giovanni Ronzan and his brothers founded the Ronzan factory circa 1940s shortly after he had left his job as chief painter and ceramic modeller at the Lenci factory.

Marked with the Ronzan factory back stamp.
