Cork stoppers, brass screw for reel, leather bound case and the best rods all named and of the highest quality.
Hardy’s of Alnwick is a name synonymous with the development of fly fishing since the late 1800’s when William Hardy opened his first shop in Alnwick, Northumberland. Soon joined by his brother John James, the Hardy Bros. moved quickly into selling fishing tackle as early as 1874, with their reels being initially largely manufactured for them by Malloch’s. By 1891 however they had launched their own Hardy Perfect built by Hardy’s and the rest, as they say, is history.
A beautiful collectors set waiting to be repurposed and used.
