A beautiful pair of of 19th Century Andrew Handyside Urns of the Campagna form. Foliate frieze decoration with thistles Egg and dart rims. Satyr mask lobed loop handles. Fluted circular foot on square plinth bases On plinths with wreath motifs to each side. Wonderful patination Circa 1860 these are a rare matching pair. Fabulous either for interior decorative pieces or the garden. 

These particular examples are almost certainly by the Handyside foundry which was a top foundry on par with Coalbrookdale ; Andrew Handyside and Company foundry were in Derby, England. Their output ranged from garden ornaments to railway bridges and they produced lamp posts for the new gas street lighting across the UK and were one of the first to produce the iconic standard Post Office letterboxes. Price is for the pair.
