A very elegant Sheraton revival mahogany and satin wood desk/bureau with astral glazed book case. Beautiful grained mahogany timbers with deep patina from years of use. Bracket feet, harewood, sycamore and satinwood cross banded inlay. Decorative marquetry inlay with conch shell and fabulous satin inlay to book case corners and beading. Original glass (we love the ripples on glass in certain light settings). Brass escutcheons, keys, and drop swag handles. Dovetailed mahogany lined drawers, moveable shelf batons to adjust shelf height to bookcase. Inner dovetailed desk drawers and desk tidy/pigeon holes with decorative detailing. An absolutely beautiful period piece of furniture. Two piece set with top removable for easy transport/moving. One of the best pieces of Sheraton Revival furniture to date.
