A beautiful antique French refectory table. Dating from around 1880 this is a stunning example. Constructed from oak this is a quintessential country provincial table we have had the table stripped back to show the fabulous detailing and grain of the wood. The top features inch thick solid planks of oak with radiant grain patterns and knots. Supported by a substantial trestle style base with beautiful turned legs on each corner ending with bun feet. The legs are conjoined by a thick H shaped stretcher connected with pegged tenon and mortise joints. Centre cutlery draw with original handle.
We have gently refurbished the table to bring back to life the use and beauty of this fabulous statement piece of furniture. Seats 6 - 8.
