A completely one of a kind antique travelling Showman’s fair/circus/sideshow advertisement/signage attraction for “Beautiful Marie The Giant School Girl” This fabulous piece of circus history would of hung at the entrance of the sideshow in the showground. Similar to PT Barnums Bearded Lady the world of travelling entertainment, brought spectacle to vast audiences across Britain, American and Europe in the 19th and early 20th century. From big tops to carnivals, fairgrounds and dime museums, this is a rare piece of social history that would of intrigued and fascinated audiences of thousands looking for the weird wonderful and macabre.

Large in size measuring 12ft long x 9ft wide. We love this unique and rare piece of fairground advertising. Painted onto thick canvas dating from around 1870.
