An exceptional antique travelling games compendium. All hand made by an expert cabinet maker with hand carved pieces housed in a beautiful Cuban mahogany display case/box. Heavy hand carved weighted dominoes, whist, cribbage, draughts, chess, steeplechase with hand made horses, tooled leather board with gilt embossed detailing , heavy gauge antique playing cards, hand carved markers, brass detailing, ebonised and Tunbridge ware marker board. Exceptional quality. Dating from 1890 with later addition “steeple chase board game” Exquisite detailing, all complete to be used for another 100 years. This beautiful piece of furniture will inject style into any setting. These compendiums are to be used as intended for playing chess/board games and when not in use to show off the quality of craftsmanship and quality of design/look.
