An absolutely stunning antique French Louis XVI Transitional period chest by renowned cabinet maker André Antoine Lardin (1724-1790). This commode is a fine example of Louis XVI period furniture, crafted from satinwood, rosewood, kingwood and amaranth. It features a curved front with multiple drawers with thick hand carved dovetailed drawer liners and a thick hand carved marble top, resting on rounded uprights and cambered feet. André Antoine Lardin (1724-1790) was a Parisian cabinetmaker who became a master in 1750, known for his exceptional use of rosewood veneer. The commode is adorned with original bronze mounts, including handles and escutcheons, showcasing intricate details.

Dating from 1750 this magnificent piece of furniture is beautiful in all aspects. Three opening oak lined drawers with hand forged central locks and matching drop handles with ring mounts. Original lock keys and original thick hand carved Sainte-Anne marble top.
