A Beautiful Antique French Leather Giltwood Studded Fauteuil Louis XV Armchair Circa 1850

A beautiful antique French leather giltwood studded Louis XV fauteuil armchair. Rare model with carved detailing to frame and fluted column legs. Fabulous aged leather upholstery with deep patina from years of use. Exceptional example all original. Circa 1850. Sound seat base, pocket button detailing to back rest, with leather raised arms and seat cushion. Scrolled arms with studded detailing to edging. A very good looking comfortable statement fireside/library/bedrooom/bathroom chair.

As a genuine antique/vintage item there is wear and use commensurate with age.  Relevant age and related wear to leather for age. No rips or tears to side or rear panels/chair at all. A few scuff marks to rear where the chair has sat against a wall. Some wooden products may have signs of historic woodworm. As a precaution we apply a clear triple action woodworm treatment that also kills wet rot, dry rot and woodworm.
