Antique French Napoleon III Faux Bamboo Opera Chairs

Early Napoleon III Faux Bamboo Side Chairs. Initial “K” to each chair back rest & stamped to underside. Typically used at the opera these date from around 1840. Original paint underneath 1900’s gilt work. Crisp carving of bamboo, original brass loop hooks to underside. Beautiful now commonly used as bedroom chairs. These are original chairs that would of originally had cane seats with cushions that have been boarded over at a later date. We can create new cushions for each chair through our in house reupholstering service if required at extra cost.
