An exceptional and very rare pair of Robert Adam Georgian Country House architectural heavy lead urns. Wonderful patination and so unique to survive as a pair. Circa 1760 these are a matching original pair. Produced when Adam was working with Capability Brown on some of the most important ground breaking architectural designs of the period which are now coveted historical Country Houses of importance such as Syon Park. Fabulous either for interior decorative pieces or the garden. 

Price is for the pair. Some historic wear and faults as expected with age. Both intact with matching covers. 

Huge weight to each urn and cover/lid confirming original design. 

Part of the collection of Dr Edward Percival Dickin. Born in Yorkshire in 1871, he studied in Paris and worked in Northampton Hospital. Other items from the collection included a rare Louis Vuitton zinc-covered 'Explorer' cabin trunk (malle cabine), circa 1895, the top inscribed 'Dickin', the sides initialed 'E.P.D.', the interior with original printed label, numbered '37942' which achieved the below at recent auction.
