Beautiful Antique Georgian Ebonised Gilt Mother Of Pearl & Cane Show Chair Circa 1830

A beautiful Georgian ebonised, cane, mother of pearl and gilt work design show chair. Dating from 1830 this exceptional survivor is in original sleepy condition with no later alterations. Exquisite detailing and fabulous form/shape. Beautiful swept legs synonymous with the Georgian period of design. Cane work original and in good order for age. Some marks/knocks to tortoise decorative detailing as expected for age.

An absolutely beautiful early Regency cane faux bamboo Sussex chair. Ebonised bamboo turned frame with cane seat. Traces of original lead blue base paint. As chairs go this is out there and such is the quality it should be in Brighton Pavillion. A very rare statement chair. Circa 1811.
