Exceptional Antique French Burr Oak Provincial Manoir Refectory Preparation/Serving Dining Table Circa 1790

A beautiful early antique French oak and burr oak Manoir refectory/preparation/dining table. Circa 1790 this fabulous  example is all about the patina and carved detailing.  Carved peg & tenon jointed cannon legs. Thick three plank table top with fabulous depth of colour with open grain. Fabulous looking from all angles this will suit as intended as a dining/serving table or as a centre island/console. Lovely hand carved detailed to apron, original thick timbers and wear associated with age. Burr oak end panels to table top which are some serious historic timbers. Original end bread board which is rare to find. Thick cut oak end drawer confirming no expense was spared on choice of timbers when creating this magnificent table. Some minor historic repairs to underside of lower stretcher and table top which is as expected with tables of this age. None detract from the look or use as all hidden to undersides.

These are highly sought after tables which are used as intended as preparation dining tables or as kitchen console islands/tables. This piece looks good from all angles with deep mellow graining to all sides. These statement pieces of furniture are getting near impossible to source and are great investments for the future to be used and admired for years to come. We have lightly refurbished the table with wax and woodworm treatment.
