An absolutely beautiful early antique French Château Provincial elm preparation table circa 1840. Fabulous patina from years of use. A very provincial piece of French furniture with peg and tenon joints. Three thick elm lined deep drawers that would of originally held the provisions of the house. Two end pull out bread cutting boards above end drawers. Thick plank table top with open grain. Altogether a very fine example and a rare piece of furniture. These are highly sought after tables which are used as intended as preparation tables or as kitchen console islands. This piece looks good from all angles with deep mellow graining to all sides. These statement pieces of furniture are getting near impossible to source and are great investments for the future to be used and admired for years to come. We have lightly refurbished the table with wax and woodworm treatment. The table has also had the addition of antique ceramic castor wheels to enable easy movement of table if required.
