A beautiful early antique French Provincial provincial elm preparation table circa 1850. Peg and tenon joints, wide plank dovetailed deep end drawer storage that would of originally held the provisions of the house. Central cutlery drawer. Thick four plank table top with open grain. Altogether a very fine example and a rare piece of furniture. These are highly sought after tables which are used as intended as preparation tables or as kitchen console islands. This piece looks good from all angles with deep mellow graining to all sides. These statement pieces of furniture are getting near impossible to source and are great investments for the future to be used and admired for years to come. We have completely stripped the table back to a raw finish, we offer numerous wax finishes should you require the table to be waxed/sealed before use. Please enquire for further details and finishes/costs.
