An exceptional and very rare Victorian iron back chair by renowned maker/manufacturer Cornelius V Smith who were on par with Howard & Sons. Based in Marshalls yard, Henry St, Hampstead Rd, London', this chair was created in 1860. Complete with original casters manufactured by Langebear & Co the mahogany rear leg is stamped with the makers mark C.V.S. Featured in the National Trust collection of Ireland and in grand country houses this is a classic country house chair.
The seat area is ready for reupholstering which we can offer at extra cost through our in house upholstery service.
