A beautiful and very rare early antique Queen Anne fruitwood & pine Jappened side chair. Circa 1710 with swept 'bow' shaped back with central panel and decorative detailing. Seat supported on moulded chamfered stretchers and swept rear feet. Indistinct writing to underside of seat with early date and name. Fabulous patina and crackled paint work relevant with age.
Inset seat pad (worn with age). We have left the chair in a more or less original condition with a treatment for woodworm and light wax to bring the beauty of the frame back to life.
As a genuine antique there is wear and use commensurate with age. Some wooden products may have signs of historic woodworm. As a precaution we apply a clear triple action woodworm treatment that also kills wet rot, dry rot and woodworm. Please look at all the images carefully and ask any questions pre purchase as we do not unfortunately offer refunds due to the size and shipping costs of our antiques/items. All our items are available on line at Search & Rescued and other online stores.
