An absolutely beautiful antique Scottish Country House laburnum, elm and pine kitchen chest/drawers. Originally used in a Highland country house working kitchen housing the kitchen utensils. This unique piece of antique furniture was built for purpose using the available materials of the time. Hand cut dove tailed drawers with square peg and tenon joints, this fabulous survivor was built to last by a highly skilled craftsman. Original decorative cast iron drawer pulls to 8 drawers. Sourced directly from a large Highland estate this fabulous piece of statement furniture looks good from all angles. Wide open graining to laburnum front drawer panels and deep mellow patina from years of use. Circa 1870. The perfect living room console/television stand or kitchen island/workstation.
