Antique French walnut escritoire desk console secretaire

A stunning antique French walnut escritoire/secretaire with gueridon marble top and cantilevered  drop down writing desk with original tooled leather insert. Circa 1840 this piece screams quality, a serious piece of statement furniture.
Three different types of walnut have been used in the contruction of this piece. Flamed matching panels to front, black walnut drawers to inner base, walnut to main construction and root walnut veneer on a pine body. The inner part is covered with beautiful birch veneer.  Secret drawer compartments amongst many other drawer parts. Original keys to all working locks.The best quality we have seen available on market.

As a genuine antique product there is wear and use commensurate with age.  Some wooden products may have signs of historic woodworm. As a precaution we apply a clear triple action woodworm treatment that also kills wet rot, dry rot and woodworm.
